The skiing club "Nordic Alpine Zschopau“ is a winter sports club including distinct departments for special ski jumping, alpine racing, running and Nordic Walking.
According to its constitution, it is the club’s aim to support and encourage talented children and youths with regular training and delegating the respective possibilities of support. Thus, next to various offers for anyone who is interested in winter sports, youngsters have the possibility to develop their skills and talents.
Above that, the club regularly organizes competitions and events and takes part in the procession at the annual Castle & Huntsmen Festival.
Selection of Competitions/ Events:
- Saxonian Ski Jumping Competition (summer/winter)
- regional alpine competitions (weather dependent)
- annual "Schneeschippen-Rodel-WM“ (lit. Snow Shovel Sledging World Championship) in January (successfully took place four times already)
- family cycling tour (25 km) and mountain bikers (50 km) on the 1st of May
- Castle & Scenery Run on the second Sunday in June (successfully took place 15 times already)
- MTB-Downhill at the skiing slope in autumn
